Classes begin the week of September 16 and run through November 20. Thanksgiving is on Thursday, November 27.

The Academy's Spring 2008 courses meet at Wellshire Presbyterian Church, 2999 South Colorado Boulevard in Denver, on the west side of the street between Hampden and Yale. This facility features recently remodeled adult classrooms, a welcoming coffee area, intimate seminar rooms, an acoustically perfect lecture hall with two drop-down screens plus smaller lecture areas. Most rooms have new tables and chairs.

Members enjoy both survey courses and in-depth studies in a variety of subject areas.

Now older adults are interested in the total spectrum of the liberal arts: history, art, literature, science, philosophy, mathematics, politics, world affairs and economics. They're living longer and therefore they're more energetic and alert."
As a membership-based organization, we encourage friendships and camaraderie. Because the courses are generally 8 to 10 weeks long, participants have many opportunities to get to know each other well. Social offerings provide a venue for extending the friendships forged in the classroom.
