Betsy Schwarm

Music historian Betsy Schwarm spent a dozen years on the air at the vintage KVOD radio, “The Classical Voice of Denver,” and also taught music appreciation at Metropolitan State University of Denver. She gives pre-performance talks for Opera Colorado and the Colorado Symphony, and has written six books on classical music; a seventh will be released this fall. She also has written a large quantity of program notes. Over 200 of her articles are available on Encyclopedia Britannica Online. Additionally, she writes for performing arts organizations and presenters throughout the US and abroad, including Opera Colorado and the Cleveland Orchestra.
