Sorry, this class has been CANCELED
New technology has allowed us new ways to look at dinosaurs and the evidence they have left behind. We will cover some of the basics such as where dinosaurs came from; different kinds, and how did most of them die? The major portion of the course will consider such topics as: internal organs and bodily functions; behavior such as nesting, migration, social behavior; gestation periods; growth and form change through adolescence; dinosaurs with feathers and their relationship to the origin of birds; and how dinosaurs survived near the north and south poles, and gigantism. We will also delve into the field of ichnology (trace fossils) to help enrich our picture of dinosaur life and behavior.
