Research shows that humans’ connections with animals shape lives across the life span, offering relational experiences that inform our social, emotional, cognitive, physical, spiritual and psychological wellbeing. How can we, human animals, deepen our relationship with non-human animals, including our own companion animals? How can that extend to a more meaningful relationship with our communities? Why is it important for society to respect and understand the impact of these relationships? This is a revision of a similar course given in Spring 2017.
